Belle hadn't been riden in probably a year (it's felt like one anyway). Nick goes out to the pasture with a halter and lead rope (since she hadn't been riden in a year she was easy to catch! Laughing

) He haltered her, did his hop up on her side and struggle to get a leg over her back thing, then rode her up to the house....

And she rode like last year was yesterday! Cool

Hey Lita...can't go wrong with a draft mare! That is how Trixie was when I brought her home from Ona and Charlie's in Texas. Got some weight on her then took her to a few shows and even only driving her and Smoke for one full day, went in and kicked butt at the shows by consistently placing 2nd!! Can't beat a good team and a great animal!

Give that mare a big kiss on that big muzzle of hers!
