That is if the rain holds off Already missed two events this spring because of rain.
For anyone in the NW Ohio or SE MI area that doesn't already know its
Sammy Thompsons Annual plow weekend in Blissfield MI. Great place to visit if you can't bring horses. _________________ All I pay my psychiatrist is the cost of feed and hay, and he'll listen to me any day ~ Author unknown |

I had a great day plowing on Saturday the weather was great. The ponies worked great together. But I was so focused on plowing forgot to take pics so I'm borrowing a couple of Jane Berry's so you guys can see the two big hitches we had there.
This first one is 8 mules on a disk.
This one is the Traylor hitch from Hillsdale MI Six on a 2 bottom plow. This was their maiden voyage. And of course they did great, that is Mrs. Traylor driving.
Oh yeah, RFD TV was there doing video and interviews, hoping they edit my interview out So all you that have the RFD channel watch for us
We have another one in 3 weeks promise to be better about taking pics. _________________ All I pay my psychiatrist is the cost of feed and hay, and he'll listen to me any day ~ Author unknown |

Ooooh I want RFD tv too! Called my cable company about it and they told me NOBODY watches that stuff. Asked them if they knew what agronomy state meant and they hung up on me.
Didn't mean to hijack the thread. Pics look great Beth!!!! |

| OK, new thread, but I look forward to the day when I can choose specifically the channels I want on my cable bill (and eliminate the ones I don't want or watch EVER). |

Cable is how your tv comes when you don't live with your horses and you don't have enough horses to ride or children to chase or whatever. Cable is what brings you hockey games in the winter so you don't go entirely nutso on cold, snowy days when the roads are sheets of ice because the state and county and "village" have run out of salt or sand and money to clean them! And cable can be irritating when you realize that for too many $$, you get lots of channels with nothing but utter nonsense that you never watch, but you can't get RFDtv or the Horse Channel!
Beth, I love the picture of Haflinger hitch...they're such elegant little horses that I forget that they are also "work" horses.... |
