I'd like to find a good home for my shire mare. I just don't have time to work with her or give her the attention she needs. Even though I know a horse can be happy standing around eating I feel like she is better then that.

Her info:
10yrs old
16.3h
about 1600lbs
3 whts, big blaze
full tail
trims w/o stocks
feathers are clipped Embarassed
UTD on shots
just had her teeth floated last night Smile

She is reg. but I don't have her papers. Her orginal owner promised to send them to me yet never did. I have since lost contact with her. All I know is she is reg. with the canadian registry.

She needs a adv. rider to finish her. I just sent her to a prof. english trainer for 30 days. She will w/t/c stop, and turn. Shes a greenie. She was broke to doubles a few years ago and was fine driving. Probably needs a refresher. The english trainer said she would do great in dressage as she moves her shoulders very well. (I'm not sure what she was talking about I dont have a clue about english riding)

I prefer she goes to a english riding home as I have ridden her western and she seems to respond better in english tack/bit and ques.

She is a excellent broodmare. Text book foaling. Always takes the first time. Live cover or AI. Her foals are always correct and ribbon winners. Currently open but did foal a beautiful shirex buckskin filly this year.

I am only offering her to a DHV memeber or a highly recommended DHV friend, that way I know she is going to someone who has owned/own a draft horse.

I will miss her alot. I really really love this horse. But as I said standing in a stall for the rest of her life doesn't seem like much of a life to me.

Thanks for the consideration, please let me know if your interested or have any more questions.

**she is located in Las Vegas, NV 89131

09' filly around 4 months old

AACCCKKKKKK!!!!!!! OMG!!!!

I don't come here often, as I tend to drool when I do-must be an allergy or something Confused

Oh Christy! Girl, if you are thinking you want her.... I can transport part of the way.

If Super Dave comes up for team penning Saturday, he's a horse hauler, I can have a chat with him...

Chewing my lip as the wheels are turning Wink

YOU better take her or I just might!!!!

Lita, will you check into the shipping situation?? That would be awesome if something could be worked out (especially w/christmas coming, and my dad just passing...$$ will be a bit tight till jan)

Jen, you DO have first dibs....but I would LOVE to have her. She's exactly what I've been looking for...and this time of me being "in foal" would be a great time to have her driving refreshed @ a trainer, and also send her for a couple months to our master of hilltoppers (he's a trainer and is awesome, and I could ride w/his group next fall)

CK....if you choose me, I would be honored Smile

And just in case it all falls through, I am looking for a draft mare. Just to ride/drive; not to breed. (In no hurry, and I do not want to muddy the waters with all of these other fine offers.)

I will pm with my info just in case. She looks lovely! Consider me backup!

Oooh! If I had a truck and trailer, I'd be in on the transit!! Dang it!! And my friend's trailer is definitely too small. Hmm ... I'll do some checking, see if I can pull any strings around here. Smile If not, I do hope someone else can help out!!

Now that I've woke up from my nap...

I was thinking, health cert. wondering what vaccs, coggins ect. the mare is going to need to cross this fine nation of ours. Things the Vet and shipper will be able to tell us.

While I was mulling things in my mind, it occurs to me... This is November... Vegas... ISN'T THAT COWBOY THING GOING ON! I can't remember if it's passed yet or not! Gunk and Nom haven't said anything and they go every year.. Deanna qualified for the world, was working on the PRCA... I've got to go do some visiting with a quickness!

If what I'm thinking is coming up.... We need to find us a good cowboy or cowgirl hauling their lone horse, in the 4 horse slant, out to Vegas with an empty bay coming back!

Who out on the East coast qualified????

Great idea Lita. I believe NFR is like the first weekend in Dec. or the 2nd weekend. She is UTD on shots. She needs current coggins and health cert...like $80.
